The BNW series 66 Shear Gate is a fabricated stainless steel unit designed as a manually controlled drain valve for use in low pressure applications in water and sewage treatment plants, or for any conditions where a leak tight seal is required at the end of a low pressure line.
The gate is hand operated and when the handle is pushed down the gate is forced into the seal ring by means of a pair of fixed wedges. The hinge pin is stainless steel and incorporates a cam that does not allow the gate to come into contact with the seal ring until contact with the wedges is made, ensuring long seal life. The seal in the model 66 shear gate is a mechanically retained, raised, resilient neoprene ring which is field replaceable.
The gate is available in sizes between 100mm to 305 mm.
