Series 44

BNW series 44 Telescopic Valves are custom designed fabricated stainless steel slip-pipe assemblies for controlling liquid levels and collecting supernatant.

  • Features:

  • Fabricated stainless steel tube buffed to lower friction and minimize seal wear
  • Double V-notch inlet for precise setting of levels. Custom oversize flared or V-notch inlets are available.
  • Double base flange retained neoprene seal allows adjustment and replacement of the seal between the telescopic valve tube and the mating field piping while eliminating leakage at this interface.
  • Stainless steel ACME thread rising stem design with bronze lift nut to prevent binding during valve travel.
  • Stem or pedestal mounted anti-rotation key prevents the valve tube from rotating in the integral seal during travel to limit seal wear.

Fabrication

Our custom designed telescopic valves are fabricated in stainless steel, type 304 or 316, and are a rising stem construction with integral neoprene seal. Stems are ACME thread stainless steel. Sizes range from 75mm to 600mm diameter.

Mounting:

Series 44 Telescopic Valves are flanged for mounting directly to customer supplied field piping and sized to slide freely inside the ID of the mating pipe. Operation is by means of pedestal mounted manual handwheel or electric actuator. BNW supplied stainless steel pedestal support brackets and stem guides are custom built to the requirements of the installation.

Applications:

Applications for our telescopic valves are level control in clarifiers, tanks, and wetwells, collection of supernatants, and overflow protection in biosolids storage facilities.
